Surfing

Located on our own private beach, experienced surfers will find options both north and south of the resort. A short 10 minute walk on the beach either way will get you to “El Pelado” to the North or “El Faro” to the south for great waves! One of the cool things about these area is that there all most always waves to be found close by from beginners, intermediate, advanced surfing.

For beginners, white wash waves can be fun at low tide right in front of the hotel.

For those wanting professional lessons, we work exclusively with Playas Surf Camp. We can facilitate private lessons for up to ten people with board rentals available. 

• Private surf lessons with board are $30 per hour/per person.
• We can arrange transport, food and beverage at a private beach just north of Playas for an additional fee, (it’s worth it)! This is a great beginner-level beach to learn on or just lay around in the sand while others do the work.
• Gabriel, the instructor, speaks English and Spanish and is a licensed surf instructor with certifications from California.
